The Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC) has developed a policy addressing the need to remove the barrier that a requirement for “Canadian Experience” poses to newcomers seeking employment and professional accreditation in the province, as we all as a best practice guide.

The “Pan-Canadian Framework for the Assessment and Recognition of Foreign Qualifications” was developed as a point of reference for the provinces, territories, and the federal government as they work towards improving the processes for assessment and recognition of internationally trained workers’ qualifications.
