Ottawa’s leading immigrant-serving organizations are coming together to showcase their programs, services and resources available to help employers recruit, hire and integrate skilled newcomers. From sourcing qualified candidates to accessing language support, mentoring and wage incentives.
Participating Organizations: Catholic Centre for Immigrants (CCI), Centre d’établissement, de soutien et d’orientation communautaire (CÉSOC), Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO), Vanier Community Services Centre, World Skills Employment Centre and the YMCA of the National Capital Region.
This virtual Expo is your one-stop overview of the tools that make inclusive hiring easier and more effective.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this event, participants will:
- Understand the full range of employer-focused programs and services available in Ottawa to help tap skilled newcomer talent.
- Identify practical recruitment and integration supports, including job-ready candidate pools, wage subsidies and mentoring.
- Learn how to partner effectively with ISOs to strengthen talent pipelines and fill labour gaps.
