Ce sommet a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tabli \u00e0 la suite de l\u2019objectif ambitieux du Canada d\u2019accueillir environ 1,5\u00a0million d\u2019immigrantes et d\u2019immigrants au cours des trois prochaines ann\u00e9es. Les pan\u00e9listes et les sp\u00e9cialistes ont partag\u00e9 leurs points de vue, leurs exp\u00e9riences, leurs pratiques exemplaires et leurs strat\u00e9gies pour cr\u00e9er des milieux de travail inclusifs qui attirent, embauchent et int\u00e8grent efficacement les immigrantes et immigrants.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Discours principal<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/73PnLP52ejQ?si=GjbnjsBVs1EBuhxT\" width=\"540\" height=\"300\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Rupa\u00a0Banerjee, professeure agr\u00e9g\u00e9e \u00e0 la Ted Rogers School of Management de la Toronto Metropolitan University, a prononc\u00e9 le discours principal pendant lequelle elle a mis en lumi\u00e8re les d\u00e9fis auxquels sont confront\u00e9s les immigrantes et immigrants au Canada, comme le ch\u00f4mage, le sous-emploi, l\u2019\u00e9cart de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration et le r\u00f4le du patronat dans la promotion de l\u2019inclusion \u00e9conomique et de l\u2019appartenance. Elle a mis l\u2019accent sur l\u2019incidence des entreprises sur les r\u00e9sultats \u00e9conomiques et l\u2019int\u00e9gration de la gent immigrante, en faisant r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 des <a href=\"https:\/\/inclusion.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/print_des-occasions-manquees_2023.pdf\">recherches r\u00e9centes<\/a> qui indiquent une \u00e9migration croissante des r\u00e9centes cohortes de personnes immigrantes, en partie en raison d\u2019exp\u00e9riences \u00e9conomiques d\u00e9favorables.<\/p>\n<p>Rupa a exhort\u00e9 les personnes pr\u00e9sentes \u00e0 ne pas tenir pour acquise la perception du Canada en tant que soci\u00e9t\u00e9 mod\u00e8le en mati\u00e8re d\u2019immigration, faisant remarquer qu\u2019il y a une croyance grandissante chez les individus immigrants et la population canadienne concernant un manque de sentiment de bienvenue et de sentiment d\u2019appartenance \u00e0 la soci\u00e9t\u00e9. Elle a soulign\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9cart entre la rh\u00e9torique de la diversit\u00e9 et des initiatives d\u2019inclusion entre le patronat et la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 quotidienne des immigrantes et immigrants en milieu de travail, qui se caract\u00e9rise par des initiatives de diversit\u00e9 superficielles qui ne r\u00e9pondent pas \u00e0 leurs besoins. On note la tendance \u00e0 un pr\u00e9jug\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0semblable \u00e0 moi\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00e0 l\u2019homophilie chez les entreprises, et la croyance en un type particulier de m\u00e9ritocratie qui \u00e9value les m\u00e9rites des individus immigrants employ\u00e9s sous l\u2019angle de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience et du comportement dits \u00ab\u00a0canadiens\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Rupa a demand\u00e9 aux entreprises de reconna\u00eetre l\u2019\u00e9volution d\u00e9mographique de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 canadienne, qui est caract\u00e9ris\u00e9e par un grand nombre de personnes immigrantes, et de veiller \u00e0 ce que leurs milieux de travail et leurs pratiques refl\u00e8tent ces r\u00e9alit\u00e9s. Elle a propos\u00e9 des recommandations pratiques pour les entreprises, comme puiser dans le bassin de talents immigrants, encadrer les gens nouvellement arriv\u00e9s au pays, favoriser les \u00e9changes culturels bidirectionnels (entre le patronat et le personnel) et r\u00e9\u00e9valuer les crit\u00e8res de mesure de l\u2019ad\u00e9quation \u00ab\u00a0organisationnelle\u00a0\u00bb et \u00ab\u00a0culturelle\u00a0\u00bb. Rupa a insist\u00e9 sur la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 pour les entreprises de combler l\u2019\u00e9cart entre les attentes en mati\u00e8re de diversit\u00e9 et d\u2019inclusion et les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s en milieu de travail afin de retenir les talents et de pr\u00e9venir l\u2019exode des cerveaux.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Panel \u2013 \u00c9liminer les obstacles \u00e0 l\u2019inclusion des personnes immigrantes<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RpoLuYwoFA8?si=3otI1aZZsYjZ4MPG\" width=\"540\" height=\"300\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Des pan\u00e9listes ont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 des strat\u00e9gies pratiques et r\u00e9alisables pour \u00e9liminer les obstacles et maximiser les talents des personnes immigrantes, puis partag\u00e9 des pratiques exemplaires pour favoriser des milieux de travail diversifi\u00e9s et inclusifs. Ces strat\u00e9gies, applicables \u00e0 toute organisation, se sont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9es efficaces pour exploiter le potentiel des individus immigrants qualifi\u00e9s au Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Mengistab\u00a0Tsegaye, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du Centre d\u2019emploi comp\u00e9tences mondiales, a insist\u00e9 sur la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019adopter une approche plus strat\u00e9gique pour puiser dans le bassin de talents immigrants d\u2019Ottawa, en mettant en \u00e9vidence la jeunesse et les niveaux d\u2019\u00e9ducation \u00e9lev\u00e9s des cohortes r\u00e9centes de personnes immigrantes, ainsi que leur exp\u00e9rience mondiale. Il a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 de solides arguments en faveur de stages r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9s pour les gens nouvellement arriv\u00e9s au pays, citant le programme f\u00e9d\u00e9ral de stages pour les nouveaux arrivants (PFSNA) comme mod\u00e8le de r\u00e9ussite et encourageant l\u2019\u00e9tablissement de r\u00e9seaux comme le Conseil des employeurs champions pour appuyer l\u2019int\u00e9gration des personnes immigrantes.<\/p>\n<p>Steph\u00a0Barlow, cheffe des ressources humaines chez Iversoft, a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 des strat\u00e9gies efficaces pour attirer, embaucher et int\u00e9grer des personnes immigrantes qualifi\u00e9es, en soulignant l\u2019importance d\u2019efforts authentiques en mati\u00e8re de diversit\u00e9, d\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 et d\u2019inclusion. Elle a soulign\u00e9 la valeur de la diversit\u00e9 en tant qu\u2019atout culturel et a remis en question les pratiques d\u2019embauche traditionnelles afin de plut\u00f4t mettre l\u2019accent sur les comp\u00e9tences, l\u2019exp\u00e9rience, la passion, l\u2019innovation et d\u2019\u00e9liminer les exigences en mati\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9tudes pour certains types d\u2019emplois. Steph a fait valoir que l\u2019acceptation des talents de la gent immigrante est essentielle \u00e0 la croissance organisationnelle et a exhort\u00e9 les entreprises \u00e0 perturber les normes d\u00e9su\u00e8tes.<\/p>\n<p>Louise\u00a0Summers, vice-pr\u00e9sidente r\u00e9gionale \u00e0 RBC Banque Royale, a soulign\u00e9 l\u2019engagement de RBC \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9gard de l\u2019inclusion au moyen de la formation obligatoire sur la diversit\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 et l\u2019inclusion, et de la formation d\u2019une \u00e9quipe de soutien pour appuyer les personnes immigrantes dans leur int\u00e9gration au travail et \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9. Elle souligne l\u2019importance d\u2019une repr\u00e9sentation diversifi\u00e9e au sein des \u00e9quipes de personnel pour mieux servir les communaut\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Les pan\u00e9listes ont insist\u00e9 sur la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019un dialogue, de la promotion de changements l\u00e9gislatifs et d\u2019efforts de collaboration entre les entreprises pour vraiment accueillir les talents immigrants.
